Short biography
Nevena Aljinović was born on 12 June 1982 in Šibenik. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Split in 2004, among the top 10% of her class. She passed the bar exam in September 2007 and the judicial exam in June 2019.
Since 2012, she has been employed at the Faculty of Forensic Sciences at the University of Split, where she was first appointed as a teaching assistant in the social sciences, field of law, branch of criminal law, criminal procedural law, criminology, and victimology, for the course Criminal Law. Since 2023, she has held the academic-teaching title of Assistant Professor at the Chair of Legal Sciences in Forensics.
Since 2013, she has served as Erasmus Coordinator, and since 2022 as ECTS Coordinator of the Faculty of Forensic Sciences. Since 2017, she has been a member of the Internal Quality Assessment Committee and the Admissions Committee.
She teaches at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in courses in criminal law, criminal procedural law, and bioethics. Her research interests include special evidentiary procedures, money laundering, freedom of expression and femicide, as well as bioethical topics from a legal perspective, such as questions of dignified dying and surrogate motherhood.
